Section 15B.2; Marking tires

This discussion does not contain a proposal (yet) but opens a debate.

Calfrico players had 22-inch wheels with (really) marking tires at UNICON 20. We eventually accepted their unicycles because the gym keepers accepted to clean afterwards. It will perhaps not always be the case.

I am personnally in favor of keeping the rule that strict. In freestyle or hockey, there is the same requirement and all competitors abide to the rule without complaining (although this requirement must probably force them to do compromises about their material). Anyway, the directors of the event will always have the possibility to accept marking tires in practice if needed.

Comment

Yes the rule should be "not accepted" and can be bent on specific times if needed. But then it can also be enforced if needed.

Comment

François, do you think that the current phrasing "The tire must not leave marks on the floor." is not strong enough?

Comment

I would consider the current wording strong enough and I would keep it that strong.
