When does a game end

I would like to clarify the end of a game a bit more:
The game should end with the start of the score borad sound. We occasionally have discussions in cases where the ball is already in the air and then goes into the goal. As the sounds can be of different lengths, it would not be consistent to use the end of the sound.

14C.2.4 The Timer
The Timer checks the time of play with a stopwatch and/or with a score board. The time
is started whenever the referee starts the game by blowing the whistle. Each period is
ended by the sound of the score board (e.g. horn, bell, gong) or the blowing of a whistle
by the timer.

Thanks for raising this. I agree and the addition should clarify this.

Larissas short version of only 2 added words is full clear and easy to translate.

To make it absolutely clear, I would repeat the "begins":
A period is considered ended when the scoreboard sounds (e.g. horn, bell, gong) begins or the timer’s whistle begins....
