In complement to the new version of 15C.2, I propose to update Section 15C.1, which is currently as follows.

15C.1 Basketball Director

The Basketball Director is the head organizer and administrator of basketball events.
The Basketball Director is responsible for the logistics and equipment for the basket-
ball competition. The Basketball Director is in charge of keeping events running on
schedule.

The section should also specify that the Tournament structure is the duty of the Basketball Director(s). They are also responsible for resolving protests not concerning games. I thus propose the following text.

15C.1 Basketball Directors

The Basketball Directors are the head organizers and administrators of basketball competitionsThe Basketball Directors are responsible for the logistics and equipment for the basketball competitions. The Basketball Directors are in charge of deciding and specifying the tournament structure, and of keeping events running on schedule. The Basketball Directors are responsible for resolving the general protests not concerning specific games, except for the referees choice for a game.

looks good, I think "referees choice" should be "choice of referees"

If I understand it correctly, one of the main changes is that instead of "basketball director" in the singular, the new rule will refer to "basketball directors" in the plural.
Even though I have no problem in principle with having more than one director - in practice there is often also more than one director in other areas such as track - I still think that there should always be one main director and the others should support him as “co-director(s)”. In other areas, the co-directors are not explicitly named in the rulebook, which I think is okay, because the rulebook does not stipulate that other people may not support a particular official.
If we consider it important to explicitly name these co-directors in the rulebook, I would list them as a separate official and make it clear that it is an optional position and that in the event of disagreements, the director has the decisive vote.

For me, switching from singular to plural was a minor change. I did it because there were two basketball directors at the last two (at least) Unicon. We can keep the singular if it is better (for consistency if I understand well).

I would nevertheless like to point out that I was unaware of the notion of "main director". For Unicon 20, I don't know who was the main director between Julien and I. Being two directors is convenient in practice because a single person may forget to do some things, and because being two persons may think of more possible solutions when problems arise. Also, basketball directors are usually players in the A tournament and, for each decision to be made, hopefully one of them has no conflict of interest (they should not be from the same team ideally). When the two have no conflict of interest, the decision should be a consensus and thus I think this is not important whether there is a main director or not.

I can follow your reasoning very well and I think it makes perfect sense (at a Unicon) not to have just one person who is responsible for one section as Director - there has also been a Director and a Co-Director at the last Unicons for the Track section for example. Nevertheless, I think we should stick to the singular for the position of Director and possibly introduce a Co-Director. I would definitely support that and it could serve as a model for the other areas.

> When the two have no conflict of interest, the decision should be a consensus and thus I think this is not important whether there is a main director or not.

I think that as long as both are in agreement, there is absolutely no problem if both are absolutely equal - but we should also think about the situation in the rules when both are not in agreement. I think it's extremely important that a decision can also be reached in this case, with one of the two having more weight.
It's quite similar with referees: there are several who can basically make decisions on an equal level. However, there is also one referee (crew chief) who can make final decisions if this is necessary or if the referees disagree.
